Study of the universal constants for the multidimensional search quadtrees (Q1917525)

The authors investigate some families of ``universal'' constants necessary for explicit calculation of the mean value of the number of nodes in a multidimensional quadtree [see the same authors, J. Comb. Theory, Ser. A 69, No. 1, 1-16 (1995; Zbl 0815.05002)] that have a given property. Recurrence formulas, differential equations and integral forms of the generating functions are given, as well as tables of numerical values of the constants.
