Topology of intersections of Schubert cells and Hecke algebra (Q1917533)

The authors consider intersections of Schubert cells of a special form in the space of complete flags \(F\). They obtain such a decomposition of \(F\) which subdivides all such intersections into strata of a simple form. It enables them to establish a new geometrical interpretation of the structure constants for the corresponding sums of the Hodge numbers for the mixed Hodge structure in the cohomology with compact supports of the above intersections.
