The author restudies the Lyusternik-Schnirelmann theorem for locally Lipschitzian functionals. An application is given. However, the critical point theory for such functionals has been very well developed by the reviewer [\textit{K. C. Chang}, J. Math. Anal. Appl. 80, 102-129 (1981; Zbl 0487.49027)]. This theory is sufficient to give all results of this paper in combination with some well-known topological facts.
