Shadows of moving surfaces (Q1918249)

The main purpose of the present study is to classify the bifurcation of generic local pictures of shadows for one-parameter families of surfaces in Euclidean 3-space. The paper consists of four sections. Section 1 is an introduction, Section 2 is devoted to the classification of the local shadows, Section 3 to generic properties of shadows of the moving surface, Section 4 to the classification of multishadows of the moving surfaces. Many schemes are applied making the exposition clear.
