The author presents a strengthened version of the representation theorem given by \textit{S. Klossek} [see Mitt. Math. Semin. Giessen 117 (1975; Zbl 0317.20043)] for finite distributive squags and generalizes, in Section 4, this theorem to the class of all finite nilpotent squags. Some of the results presented in this paper are also included in the Ph.D. thesis [Univ. Manitoba (1991)] and Diplom thesis [Universität des Landes Hessen, Germany (1983)] of the author. Finally, the author presents, in Section 7, some open questions. For instance: It would be interesting to determine whether there are examples of distributive squags whose representations require large monomials, or whether monomials of length 3 or 4 always suffice.
