The authors introduce some noncommutative version of the symbols discovered by the reviewer in the higher class field theory for algebraic varieties. Their construction uses the Deligne-Beilinson cohomologies and works for any complex variety (even with singularities). Using the construction they give a new proof of the higher reciprocity law in this situation.
