This is a brief survey of fast iterative Toeplitz solvers based on the preconditioned conjugate gradient (PCG) methods with circulant preconditioners, sine-transform preconditioner and Hartley-transform preconditioner. The author unifies the analysis of all these preconditioners, and gives an extension to the block Toeplitz systems.
