A boundary-value problem for the sine-Gordon equation is solved by algebraic means with utilization of infinite-dimensional Kac-Moody algebras. We present a special method to solve initial data and boundary-value problems for the elementary case of the wave equation and construct solutions of the Cauchy and Goursat problems for the sine-Gordon equations in terms of ordered path integrals. Moreover, we present a solution of boundary-value problems for the sine-Gordon equation.
