The notion of ideal in an iterative algebra is considered. Iterative algebras are in some sense similar to semigroups of transformations, since the elements of such algebras are also functions (but polyadic) and the main operation is superposition. In the paper, several universal examples of iterative algebras, as well as the description of their ideals, are given.
