A discrete-time automatic system in the input-output error signal processing circuit is considered. The problem consists in matching the discrete transfer function to a prescribed model by the minimax criterion in the Hardy space \(H_\infty\) of bounded analytic functions. The solution to this problem is presented in two cases: for a system with a single compensator and for a system with feedback and feedforward compensators.
