The article is devoted to the problem of finding special classes of solutions to the \(n\)-dimensional wave equation which, for \(n = 3\), describes the propagation of sound (as well as light, electromagnetic and elastic waves, etc.) in a homogeneous medium. We analyze solutions of multiple wave type when the velocity vector and the pressure depend on \(\sigma < n\) arguments. The multiple waves in question are considered as partially invariant solutions from the standpoint of group analysis of differential equations.
