A space \(X\) is hyperconnected (\(\theta\)-irreducible) if every pair of non-empty open (regular closed, respectively) subsets of \(X\) has a non-empty intersection. The authors obtain characterizations of these properties and prove results concerning their preservation under certain non-continuous functions.
