The authors consider an axisymmetric initial-boundary value problem governing the dynamical behaviour of stresses around a hole in a viscoelastic plate. The model of the material is taken in the differential form. The problem is solved using the Laplace transform and numerical inverse transform. Some illustrative results are presented.
