A one-parameter set of scalar-valued hysteresis terms is considered. A canonical representation of this set is constructed. The canonical representation treats the output of the complex hysteresis nonlinearity as a superposition of some function and output of a primary hysteresis term. Continuous dependence with respect to parameter is investigated for the representation. Nonautonomous scalar-valued hysteresis transducers are considered as a time-dependent set of autonomous hysteresis terms. The canonical representation is applied to the investigation of functional properties of nonautonomous systems.
