\(Z\)-algebras were introduced by J. Lepowsky and R. L. Wilson to study standard modules of affine Lie algebras. In this paper the author introduces a quantum analogue of \(Z\)-algebras in the homogeneous picture. He then uses these to study higher level modules for the quantized version of the algebra \(A^{(1)}_1\) in the homogeneous picture. An explicit basis for these modules is obtained.
