The paper presents a set of necessary and sufficient conditions on the realizability of a constant resistance multiplexer composed of three reactance ladder networks connected either in series or in parallel having Butterworth or elliptic transducer power-gain characteristic. Two illustrative examples for the design of a three-channel constant multiplexer are given, one being an eighteen elements symmetrical multiplexer having Butterworth transducer power-gain characteristic and the other being a twenty-four element multiplexer having elliptic response.
