The paper considers polynomials with real or complex parameters that lie inside a ball in a weighted \(l^p\)-norm. For such polynomials, the maximum of a uncertainty value set is found for a fixed direction in the complex plane by means of a Lagrange multiplier technique. The results may be applied to assessment of robust stability.
