The author gives some interesting geometric inequalities of a simplex and of a polygon and some consequences in connection with the so-called isoperimetric deficit. (They are related to the geometric inequalities in the books by \textit{D. S. Mitrinovic}', \textit{J. E. Pečarić} and \textit{V. Volenec}, `Recent advances in geometric inequalities' (1989; Zbl 0679.51004)] and \textit{O. Bottema}, \textit{Radosav Ž. Đorđević}, \textit{Racovan R. Janić}, \textit{D. S. Mitrinović} and \textit{Petar M. Vasić} `Geometric inequalities' (1969; Zbl 0174.52401)).
