The authors consider mathematical models of the chemical reactions of oxidation/reduction of the catalyst surface. The mathematical description is based on models of a multicomponent 2D lattice gas. Three types of models are considered, i.e., simulation, point, and distributed models. Spatial-temporal structures arising in the reaction are studied. A qualitative analysis of the point model produces the existence regions and shape of these structures, i.e., trigger waves, spiral waves, and travelling impulses.
