This two-volume set is a collection of, mainly, interesting reminiscences of researchers active in the early and also in later phases of fuzzy set-based methods, dispersed with a few substantial contributions to this topic. Therefore, this homage to Lotfi A. Zadeh, the now over 90 years old scientist who founded this area of typically applied research with a seminal 1965 paper and essentially influences it since, offers an interesting historical perspective concerning the many facets of fuzzy set research, and the lots of people engaged in it.
