A topological orthomodular poset in the sense of Wilce is constructed whose underlying orthomodular poset is a Boolean algebra, but which is not a topological Boolean algebra in the usual sense. This is achieved by considering the Cantor set \(C\) as a power of the two-element Boolean algebra and by considering a special metric on \(C\).
