The paper under review deals with estimates of norms of \(f(A)-f(B)\) for operators \(A\) and \(B\) on Hilbert space. The main result establishes an estimate of the Hilbert-Schmidt norm \(\|f(A)-f(B)\|_2\) for operators \(A\) and \(B\) on Hilbert space such that the operators \(A-A^*\), \(B-B^*\), and \(A-B\) are Hilbert-Schmidt operators.
