The authors introduce and study the concept of a left, right, and two-sided locally convex \(H^*\)-algebra. It is a generalization of a concept introduced earlier by the first author. If the considered algebra is \(m\)-convex, it is related, via the Arens-Michael decomposition, to the classical two-sided \(H^*\)-algebras.
