Distributions in spaces with thick points (Q1947473)

Generalizing the theory of distributions with thick points in one variable introduced by the second author and \textit{S. A. Fulling} [Int. J. Appl. Math. Stat. 10, No.~SO7, 25--37 (2007; Zbl 1153.46025)], the authors of the present paper generalize this to the case of dimensions \(n \geq 2\). The multi-dimensional case is quite different from the one-dimensional case due to the difference between topological properties of \(\mathbb R \setminus \{0\}\) and \(\mathbb R^n \setminus \{0\}\). The authors make use of the method of strong asymptotic expansions to develop the theory.
