On Fitzpatrick functions of monotone linear operators (Q1947483)

The main result of this well-written paper is a sharpening of a formula due to \textit{H. H. Bauschke} et al. [SIAM J. Optim. 18, No. 3, 789--809 (2007; Zbl 1157.47034)] for the Fitzpatrick function of a monotone bounded linear operator on a separable real Hilbert space. As an application, the author also provides a relation between the Fitzpatrick function of a given \(n\)-cyclic monotone linear operator and that of a corresponding monotone linear operator.
