The Cauchy problem for a system of evolution equations of first order is considered. The time discretization of the system by a two-time-level difference scheme is derived and proven to be unconditionally stable. Further, the second class of discretization based on an explicit-implicit difference scheme is considered. The explicit-implicit approximation is used for isolated equations of the system. The regularization, stability and splitting of such schemes are discussed.
