Based on work of Yu. M. Smirnov, S. Antonian and S. Mardesić, this article is a study of the theory of retracts and extensors in the category of \(G\)-spaces. The author recalls definitions and properties of ARs, ANRs, AEs, ANEs in the category of topological spaces with actions of a compact group \(G\). The basic notions of the theory of topological transformation groups are also presented.
