B-splines, B-spline approximations and B-spline series are important and useful tools in the approximation of data. In this paper, they are applied to approximate the Hilbert transform of a function from given data. For this, Hilbert transforms of B-splines are considered, and it is observed that they can be viewed as divided differences (Section 4). Using this, new methods are provided (Section 5) and their complexities are studied (Section 6). Quadratic splines are analysed in this context in Section 7 with particular care, but extensions to higher degrees are available as well.
