Two postulates of extended irreversible thermodynamics for non-classical heat conduction of rigid bodies are considered, where additional variables are the heat flux or internal energy time derivative. In the context of the developed thermodynamic formalism, the linear approximation of the generalized temperature is obtained. It is shown that the generalized temperature is defined in the form of a non-classical heat transfer equation.
