The resolvent structure of a Volterra equation with nonsummable difference kernel (Q1956607)

The authors are concerned with systems of linear convolution integral equations where the difference kernel is non-summable. They aim to investigate the asymptotic behaviour of the resolvent so that well known results about resolvents of summable kernels can be adapted to the non-summable case. Much of the paper is concerned with the technical theory leading to new results. By way of illustration, the theoretical results are applied to equations with homogeneous kernels of degree \(-1\).
