Some important functors are extended from compact Hausdorff spaces to Tychonoff spaces. One of them is the hyperspace functor which was considered by \textit{O. Wyler} [Continuous lattices, Proc. Conf., Bremen 1979, Lect. Notes Math. 871, 390--413 (1981; Zbl 0463.06008)] for the first time.
