\textit{G. W. Harrison} [Ecology 76, No.~2, 357--374 (1995)] proposed an improved predator-prey model considering dependence of the predator growth rate on the energy or the nutrient storage rather than on the rate of consumption of the prey. In the paper under review, the authors complement Harrison's quantitative analysis of the model with a qualitative study of global properties of solutions assuming the Holling type II predator functional response. Under feasible conditions on the parameters of the system, they demonstrate the existence of a unique orbitally asymptotically stable periodic orbit which is the global attractor if the system has a unique nontrivial unstable hyperbolic equilibrium in the positive cone \(\mathbb{R}_{+}^{3}.\)
