The authors study the dynamics of a rotating Rayleigh rod loaded by a moving force. The governing partial differential equations are reduced, by the use of Galerkin method, to two coupled linear second-order ordinary differential equations. The solution of this system is investigated for various conditions imposed on the moving force.
