A quasibasis for an Abelian \(p\)-group \(G\) is a set of generators for a basic subgroup \(B\) together with a set of representatives for generators of the divisible quotient group \(G/B\). The main problem is to describe the relations among these generators. This the authors do by means of an array with four parameters. When the relations have a particular standard form, the quasibasis is called inductive. The authors show how to construct inductive quasibases and how to use them to recognize various invariants of the group.
