The author recalls the definitions of the order of amplification (dissipation) and that of imaginary stability of a Runge-Kutta method and proposes a new pair of explicit Runge-Kutta methods of order 7 and 8 with a very high-order of dissipation. Numerical experiments illustrate the good performance of the proposed methods.
