The authors consider the existence of positive solutions to the second-order FDE \[ y''(t)+ r(t) f(y|_{[t-\tau, t+a]})= 0,\quad 0< t< 1, \] subject to a linear nonhomogeneous boundary condition. It is allowed that \(r(t)\) has singularities at the endpoints \(t= 0\) and \(t= 1\).
