The author introduces a particular type of Chebyshev weight function on a circular arc and studies the asymptotic behavior of the corresponding Christoffel kernel off the arc and Christoffel function inside the arc. Consequently, he proves Totik's conjecture [see \textit{W. Van Assche}, J. Comput. Appl. Math. 48, No. 1-2, 207-223 (1993; Zbl 0790.42013)] concerning the asymptotic behavior of Christoffel's function for the orthogonal polynomials on the arc with respect to the weight function.
