The aim of this paper is to generate the isospectral operator of \textit{Lewis} and \textit{Riesenfeld} [J. Math. Phys. 10, 1458-1473 (1969)] using quantum canonical transformations. Various examples are discussed by employing this formalism, and a new information is given in the case of time-dependent well of infinite height. Some physical applications are pointed out.
