The authors introduce the notion of colour-signed permutations and enumerate them to obtain a combinatorial interpretation of the \(q\)-Eulerian identities of \textit{F. Brenti} [Eur. J. Comb. 15, No. 5, 417-441 (1994; Zbl 0809.05012)]. Also an upper bound in the generalized checker-jumping game is computed, using a new identity that involves these numbers and the golden ratio.
