During the Fall Meeting 1992 of the Work Group ''Data analysis and numerical classification'' in Freiburg, K. Schweizer presented a psychological data set with \(n=1716\) persons and \(p=59\) ordinal items \(X_k\) relating to the knowledge of occult practices. This data set has been analyzed by five specialists using several different statistical or exploratory tools: classification and regression trees, discriminant analysis, hierarchical clustering methods, exploratory graphical techniques, optimum scaling (canonical correlation analysis). In this note these methodological tools are discussed.
