Cover-preserving embeddings of distributive lattices (Q1966141)

A finite lattice \(L\) has the Cover-Preserving Embedding Property (CPEP) with respect to a variety \(V\) of modular lattices if for every \(K\in V\) of finite length the existence of an embedding of \(L\) into \(K\) implies the existence of a cover-preserving embedding of \(L\) into \(K\). In a previous paper by the author, finite modular lattices having CPEP and finite projective geometries having CPEP were characterized. Here CPEP is investigated for finite distributive lattices.
