This paper is devoted to the class of models of infinite non-relativistic quantum systems that exhibit relaxation to equilibrium. The authors aim at obtaining a full understanding of the examples at hand. This paper on one hand illustrates the role played by the choice of the right set of observables, on the other hand it suggests that some regularity requirements, usually assumed in the study of \(C^*\)-dynamical systems, may be too stringent to be applicable to the cases under consideration. Note that the models under consideration are not exactly solvable.
