Generalized functional equations: transversality and principality of the Bernstein-Sato ideal (Q1970346)

In the context of the study of the Bernstein-Sato ideal associated to a germ of holomorphic function, the authors investigate the relationship between a transversality condition and the existence of a certain type of polynomial in this ideal. They are also interested in the case when the Bernstein-Sato ideal is principal and provide a principality criterium for this ideal. Moreover, they give a three dimensional counterexample showing that the Bernstein-Sato ideal is not principal in general.
