An alternative method for computing the matrix \(\text{argmin}\|A-P\|_F\) is given, where \(\|\cdot\|_F\) is the Frobenius norm and the matrix \(P\) is taken from the set of square matrices diagonalized by a given orthogonal trigonometric transform.
