Some relations between linear transformations of elliptic spaces (i.e. non-degenerate Hermitian ones over a division ring \(D\) with *-valuation (* is involution), satisfying the Cauchy-Schwarz inequality) and infinite matrices over \(D\) are established. Properties of matrices of unitary transformations modulo the subgroup \(1+J\) \((J\) is the ideal of non-units of the valuation ring \(R\) in \(D)\) are investigated.
