The authors propose a fully discretized version of the collocation method applied to linear integral equations of the first kind with logarithmic kernel. Stability and convergence of the discretized scheme is studied and the existence of an asymptotic expansion of the error is proved. This justifies the use of the Richardson extrapolation. Numerical experiments are also given.
