Let \(M\) be the exterior of the figure eight knot. In this paper the authors prove that every slope with even numerator is realized as the boundary curve of an immersed, incompressible, \(\partial\)-incompressible surfacc in \(M\). This immersed surface is covered by an imbedded, incompressible, \(\partial\)-incompressible surface in some finite covering of \(M\).
