A new simple direct method is proposed to simulate the far-field sound in conjunction with near-field aeroacoustic computations. No acoustic sources need to be computed, and the only necessary input for the flow computation is the density. The computational cost of the proposed method is reasonable. The method is succesfully tested by performing a series of jet simulations.
