In Kaluza-Klein or supergravity theories, such as that of HoĊava and Witten, if the fundamental scale could be much larger than the electroweak scale, then there would be implications for cosmology. That is, new dimensions felt only by gravitational effects might open up at scales larger that those tested by standard gauge interactions. Some implications of this on inflation and nonconventional cosmology are discussed.
