Let \(M\) be a closed surface (a compact two-dimensional manifold without boundary), \(\chi\) its Euler characteristic, \(\{\varphi_t\}\) a topological flow on \(M\), and \(\omega(L)\) the \(\omega\)-limit set of the trajectories (or a positive semitrajectory) \(L\). This paper is devoted to the case \(\chi\leq 0\), but the author recalls other works on flows on surfaces as well.
